Dizziness and tinnitus

Many people suffer from dizziness and tinnitus, and it can be extremely stressful.

Can craniosacral therapy relieve dizziness?

People who suffer from dizziness often get scared and don't know what to do. They may be told that they are suffering from a balance nerve virus and that there's nothing they can do about it - they just have to learn to live with it. Being subject to these conditions is debilitating, making it hard to balance, hard to get out of bed, hard to focus, and hard to cope with the feeling of being seasick all the time.

Dizziness can be caused by tension in the cranial system (skull/back/lower back) with a particular focus on the neck joint (skull and first cervical vertebrae), all neck muscles and especially the suboccipital muscles and the large neck muscles (sternocleidomastoid).

The temporal bones, which are involved in balance and hearing, can be locked in the sutures compared to the other bones of the skull, which can cause major problems. Tension in the meninges, including the falx cerebri (the large meninges that divide the right and left hemispheres) and the tentorium, which surrounds the cerebellum (a centre of balance), can cause major problems with dizziness.

Craniosacral therapy treatment can be very effective against dizziness. The treatment allows the cranial system to be balanced and the muscles involved to be relaxed, thereby creating the opportunity for the entire central nervous system to become balanced and gain space and room.

Can craniosacral therapy relieve tinnitus?

Tinnitus is also a very unpleasant condition. The client can constantly hear a sound, most often heard as a very high-pitched whine or hiss. Tinnitus can also be caused by tension in the neck and neck muscles, as well as problems in the temporal bones and their muscles. Tension in the cranial nerves, including the trigeminal nerve, can also cause the annoying sounds such as ringing, buzzing and roaring in the ears.

Dizziness and tinnitus often go hand in hand and can be caused by the same problems. Anyone can get tinnitus. Tinnitus is not hereditary.

Tinnitus is not a disease, but a signal of tension.

Craniosacral therapy Treatments involving relaxation and balancing of muscles, bones and nerves can alleviate the client's distressing symptoms, but it can be difficult to completely eliminate tinnitus.
