Children of all ages can benefit from CST, which can alleviate many issues and conditions.
If your child has trouble calming down, sleeping or 'managing their temper', it could be a sign that their nervous system needs help to regulate. Craniosacral therapy is a very gentle way of meeting the child's delicate nervous system.
Problems with joints (e.g. weak ankles and knees), bones (growing pains) and muscles (neck tension) can also benefit from CST, as can allergies, asthma, breathing problems and difficulty concentrating.
If the child has difficulty finding the time to lie still, it may be a good idea to bring an audiobook, music or read to the child during the treatment. However, I do not recommend that the child watches videos on an iPad or mobile phone, as this will often activate the child inappropriately.
For smaller children, there are toys in the clinic. They don't have to lie still on the couch, but can sit with their parents or play on the floor during treatment.
Parents are always welcome in the treatment room, but without mobile phones. For older children, parents can stay in the waiting room or go for a walk.
