Craniosacral therapy for mother and child
Childbirth can be challenging for both mother and baby, which is why postnatal craniosacral therapy is great for both.
Craniosacral therapy can take place with the baby lying on the mother's stomach or next to her on the couch. The treatment can be aimed at a specific issue for the mother and child, but can also be a general relaxation of the mother's and child's body. When mum is happy and relaxed, the baby is usually happy and relaxed too - and vice versa.
I treat children from a few hours old, so if your child has had a challenging birth, it may be beneficial to receive treatment as soon as possible.
In newborns, craniosacral therapy can often alleviate typical postnatal imbalances:
- Colic
- Gagging and vomiting
- Insomnia and sleeplessness
- Crying
- Restlessness
- Crooked heads
- Digestive issues
